Today's PUMPs & dumpS

A Legend In Their Oil Minds!

OtcPicks.com has taken over pimping duties on month long Pump & Dump subject, Legend Oil and Gas (LOGL).  The tout is marketing insider shares, spreading the insane thought that a company with $150,000 in the bank and a market cap already exceeding $120 million, is somehow worth $360 million or even $1 billion simply on the notion that it might acquire a Canadian producer of 300 barrels of oil per day.  By the company's own press release, they would be paying $17 million in cash and
stock for the oil and gas producer and would expect to generate $3 million a year in cash flow.  That's cash flow people, not profits.  On cash flow alone, it would take almost 6 years to pay off this acquisition and that's assuming oil maintains its current price.  Of course the price of oil could go higher, but even if it doubles, so what?  It still doesn't make this company worth $120 million, never mind $1 billion.

The misleading OtcPicks.com piece boasts that Conoco Phillips (COP) missed this play, but we would suggest that COP simply ignored it.  300 barrels per day does not even warrant a sniff from a company like COP.  The piece brags about soaring volume in the stock (it's been steady, not soaring, for 6 weeks now) and a bargain share price (it's been trading sideways during that 6 weeks).

An earlier press release announced approval of a $6 million credit facility from National Bank of Canada towards the acquisition of this play, but we're not sure that the bank is aware of the schemes this company may be involved in.  Therefore, in the interests of full disclosure, we've decided to forward the OtcPicks.com paid piece to the bank's legal department in case they really don't want to get involved with companies whose shares, in our opinion, are being manipulated.

Extended Pump & Dump subject, Nyxio Technologies (NYXO) has hired on tout BedfordReport.com in an attempt to see if anybody out there can maintain interest in this stock. The share price is down 30% since it achieved its lofty and overvalued highs in the beginning of August at start of the current campaign.  Following weeks of sideways trading when insiders sat on the offer and 10 touts hammered away at their subscribers, the stock has drifted, and now it's time to see if waning interest can be re-energized before the insiders throw in the towel and start bid whacking.
